Farm Park

We wanted to make it to Farm Park at least once before our baby arrived.  They have free admission on Tuesdays, and our neighbor across the street is off work on Tuesdays.  So we invited Tania and Alex (who turned one in March) to go along.

First we grabbed our animal feed.  Miles knew what it was for this time!  Last summer I didn't explain the entire situation to him, just handed him the cone as we walked... only to have him hand it back a bit later saying, "I don't really like it, it tastes like dog food."!!!!   I still laugh so hard about it! :)

We wasted no time in luring the ducks in.

And showing Alex where the animals were.

Miles doesn't make it too far without being distracted by bugs though!

First they fed sheep.

Then goats.

That's when we discovered Alex actually wasn't that fond of all these animals.  He wasn't super upset, but clung to his Mama if they got too close.

Some of the animals just want to be close.

Cooper didn't have any issues with being so close.

Except when it came to Charlotte...   he tossed her his remaining cone and let her have at it.  :)

After a quick stop at the silo slide...

 The boys milked a 'cow'.

Then tossed feed to some chickens.

Then conversed with some turkeys... they gobbled loud! Daddy would have been proud of the boys turkey calling skills.  :)

But all thought of feeding or talking to animals was gone when they discovered what was in the pond.

Tiny little frogs.

I thought Miles might accidentally dip his face in he was so close to the water looking for them!

We did convince him to come play on the playground for a while.

Where he practiced his new skill of pumping himself.

Cooper had fun helping Alex play.

He did really well with him.

We didn't stay long since it was pretty hot, but we enjoyed nearly a couple hours at the 'farm'.

After we left I took the boys to the "Twistee Treat" and treated them to an ice cream cone.
...you know, since Miles didn't eat the cone at Farm Park this time. :)

They played music on the free juke box.

Because there were plenty of Elvis songs to choose from!
