The first day of spring break was a Friday. That day was spent packing for a road trip!
For the boys, I lay out all their outfits, pants-shirts-socks-undies....
And roll each outfit up and put a rubber band around it.
Even for the older boys it makes it easy for them to find an entire outfit out of their bag everyday.
Bags packed and loaded, we got up before the sun and hit the road toward Texas!
I think we did really well, with very little stopping...
even when drinking coffee. ha. I go with the small one to help this.
We packed our lunch and ate while moving, so that helped. The landscape changes are so fun to watch when traveling across our great country.
Texas is huge. ha. The route we took had us going South and back up toward El Paso, we saw a lot of Texas.
And Mexico! We didn't cross the border, but drove along it for a while, more than once!
And with the time change, made it in less than 13 hours, arriving around 5:30pm on Saturday!
Yay for cousins!!
Yay for cousins!!
You might notice a few tip toes in the previous photo...
there was a bit of checking up to see who was taller this time. A routine hello for these kids. HA!
Then we settled in for a fun few days ahead!
