Turtle Tale

Driving in our neighborhood one day, I spotted a little turtle trying to cross the street.  He was having trouble getting up onto the curb and out of the street.  So I pulled over and helped him up onto the sidewalk.  Then I got Owen out of the van to have a look.

He was pretty impressed with the shy little turtle that wouldn't come out of his shell to say hello.

I asked Owen to find a safe place to leave it.

So he walked it down to the drainage ditch. 

And set it down nearby.

Then waved goodbye and we went about our day.
