Miles' birthday was the first morning back to school after Labor Day. He got a chocolate chip waffle with a candle in it for breakfast.
Owen decorated the actual birthday cake while Miles was at school.
Then we decorated the fireplace to surprise Miles when he got home from school.
We had a quick dinner when Derek got home, then singing and cake.
Owen was so happy it was Miles' birthday! :)
We were in a hurry since we had parent night (kinda like our orientation in their classrooms) at school that night... so Miles got to open his gifts sans the scavenger hunt.
I have mixed feelings about this. :-/
But Miles was thrilled with his gifts!
Uncle Bruce & Aunt Brenda know the way to this boys heart. 💙🎣
When we went to Dollar Tree to get balloons, Owen insisted on getting Miles some marbles. He'd been saying this for weeks and did not forget it was the gift he wanted to get his brother.
Miles was pretty happy about a gift from Derek and I too...
A creature keeper.
It only took until the cake was sliced for him to have a creature caught and put inside!
