My Aunt and Uncle, who are missionaries to Argentina, are on furlough right now. They planned a stop to visit us in their travels around the U.S. Their prayer card arrived in the mail a few days before they came, so I made sure Owen remembered them and could say their names. :)
(My kids had also seen them in Wichita in April while Derek and I were in Vegas.)
Owen was immediately fond of them. :)
No warming up needed, he was all in with the snuggles.
We enjoyed catching up over dinner on the patio.
Telling stories (Probably fishing stories😏) and looking at photos.
Then the boys started a badminton game.
That went on for a while... until they got the birdie stuck in the tree.
A football thrown couldn't lodge it loose... so the game was over.
It was on the ground when we looked out during breakfast!
Derek helped with a little tech services. :)
Then Aunt Kristy tried to solve Cooper's "Gear Cube". She didn't. Ha.
Owen put all his binkies in Uncle Brad's shirt pocket for safe keeping.
While he played Uno Moo with Aunt Kristy.
Then he stayed as close as he could while they played a game of regular Uno.
He also stayed close while everyone snacked on popcorn.
The next morning, I gave Uncle Brad and Aunt Kristy haircuts.
Then they gave Owen a cute little llama magnet.
And Cooper and Miles got little ponchos... all from Argentina.
It was a great time of getting reacquainted!
But then it was time to say our goodbyes.
We were so glad they stopped to see us on their travels!
