Summing Up Summer 2017 - Make Up Chiefs Game

Earlier in the summer, we went with our church to a Peoria Chief's baseball game.  It ended up getting rained out after the game started, so we were able to redeem our tickets for another game.

We went with friends (basically it was a Parental Petulance get-together 😊) who thought their boys would love meeting Buddy from the show Dinosaur Train.  Ha!  Levi did not like Buddy!

The kids all got a Cheifs backpack as we entered.

And it was "Kids Eat Free" night, so they each got a hot dog, chips and a drink.

My boys always ask for hot dog at games, but we don't buy them because, well, you can buy a package at the store for so much less! Ha.  This was a special treat.

We enjoyed the game, and always keep an eye out for the mascot, Homer.

He came down a aisle near us, so we jumped up and tracked him down.

High fives all around!

We also tracked down another family from church when we found out they were at the game.

And Chase just happened to be wearing one of the original Parental Petulance shirts! Turns out it was a band event? :)

Owen spotted Homer again and waved and waved.

When Homer had a seat with some fans near us, Miles begged to go sit by him.

He didn't way a word or make his presence known, he just sat there silently.

Cooper went to join him and gave him away... haha!

They came back to their seats, the game ended and we all turned our eyes to the fireworks.

Which was a pretty impressive display!
