School Days

So now that we've caught up on some of our summer (I didn't even get to all of it, including to VBS programs the boys attended!) and our trip to Wichita, lets move on to things happening since school started.  If you missed it, you can read about their: First day of school.

On the third day of school, also a FRIDAY!, they decided to match, even wearing watches.

That first week was the honeymoon phase of going to school, if I'm honest.  But Owen never had that emotion...  he's been hanging his head about not going along nearly every day.

After we sent them off, Owen and I headed to the library for Friday story time.

This has always been part of our routine, so it was different with just the two of us.

Different, and fun.  One on one time with Owen has been so great.  He talks my ear off!!  I notice more about what he thinks, since he can actually choose option or items by himself, and since he can get a word in edgewise. :)

He sat nicely through story time.

Then knew exactly which table he wanted to head to for craft time.

We colored the solar system, since that coming week would be the solar eclipse.

He chose a few books, we checked out, and we were done!

Good thing too, Owen was wearing out.

We went home so Owen could catch a nap.

Then we went to pick up the big boys!!
It was still hot, since it was after all, mid August.  So we pretended it wasn't just the weekend, but still summer. :)

Yay! for their first Friday completed!
