St Patrick's Day

On the evening of March 16th Derek and I hid chocolate gold coins around the house after the boys were all in bed.

I think some people do this because of the leprechaun's pot of gold...

We just did it for fun one year and enjoyed it so much that we keep doing it. ha.

Owen was the first one awake on St Patrick's Day... so he 'found' the first coin.

He was pretty happy with his find.

Even more so when Daddy showed him it was chocolate.

Chocolate for breakfast?  Sure.

His brothers joined him soon!

I always think it will take them a while to notice the coins and find them... apparently we need to hide them a lot better!

They had collected them all within a few minutes after waking up.

We had more plans for the day...  including that is was March Madness basketball game day.  KU and Wichita State played that evening... so I opted for Jayhawk nails, Shocker shirt, and green socks.

Along with reading about St Patrick, who was a Christian missionary to Ireland, we got ready to host Life Group that night.  So we prepped the corned beef.

With lots of cabbage, potatoes and carrots.

And had one more event added to our day.   Stay tuned for more details! :)
