I'm not sure if my boys realized it or not, but we didn't make Christmas cookies last year. I didn't want to overlook it this year, so one afternoon, we made up the dough and started cutting out cookies.
Owen was napping, but the big boys like to help with this part.
We baked them and let them cool.
The whole process is pretty messy.
And we were just getting started. It was soon time to frost them...
I made the frosting too thick and we had a little trouble.
So I thinned it all down, each color and we started again. Too thin.
And quite a mess.
Oops.
At least frosting tastes good?
Very carefully, we got a few to look good! ha.
Some turned out fun.
And some got tasted without frosting at all.
Christmas Cookies complete!
We'll see if we 'forget' to do them next year. 😊
