G'ma & Papa's Visit

A few weeks ago, my parents hopped on a train near Wichita and headed East, Galesburg (near Peoria) bound.

When we headed to pick them up, their train status said, "On Time".  But by the time we made the 45 minute drive to the station, it was just a bit delayed.  So the boys watched a little of Willy Wonka in the van while we waited.

After a while, we got out and took some photos outside the station.

A man saw me taking photos of the boys and offered to take one of all of us.
Well, okay... if you twist my arm. :)

It didn't take long before Miles found a bug. (shocking, right?)

And not much longer at all before we heard the train whistle and watched the number 4 train pull in.

Then we watched for signs of G'ma and Papa...  we spotted Papa's Husker Sweatshirt first.

Once they got close enough, the boys ran to greet them.

Miles, with his grasshopper in hand.

Papa said he'd buy lunch and the boys could choose where.  They picked the Galesburg HyVee. Ha!  There was a display of pumpkins outside...

Owen was being shy to G'ma so she gave him a small gourd to play with.  He liked it.

Then he threw it on the ground.

He takes a while to warm up...

Food helps though!  The endless choices inside HyVee are why my kids like to eat there.  Most of us had salad bar, Cooper had Chinese and Miles had pizza.

We arrived back home and it only took about 42 seconds for the boys to get Papa playing catch.

Then G'ma started getting out goodies and gifts.
(Some from Wichita's Nifty Nut House. Yum!)

And these shirts from G'ma Debbie, who recently went to  Colorado and got these for the boys.

Aunt Mandy sent a stuffed Raccoon Beanie Boo for Owen.  He loves it!

By evening, Papa had Owen in giggles!

And G'ma had him snuggling.
