Derek went out of town for work again, this time to Minnesota for training.
(For his new position: Director of Post Production! I'm so proud of him and this much deserved promotion.) We weren't all that thrilled to say goodbye to him Sunday night and wake up to him gone on Monday morning. Even Owen wondered where Daddy had gone.
So we did things to fill the time. We walked/rode over to Bicycle Safety Town with our neighbors, who had their grandsons that day. That's Nolan.
Nolan is two months older than Owen, who seems excited to have a playmate, can't you tell?
The big boys took off around safety town with Greyson, who is ten.
Nolan took off around the playground with his grandparents.
Owen just likes to watch, for the most part.
He did climb around a little.
But for some reason wasn't sure about Nolan trying to engage him in play.
He pretty much gave him the cold shoulder.
And maybe even the stink eye.
Or grabbed my leg as if asking me to help him get away. Rude.
Both little guys liked walking the bike area.
And watching the races that "G'pa Neighbor Dale", as we call him, started up.
Owen checked out G'pa Neighbor Dale's bike before it was time to head home.
It was hot and we were kinda exhausted when we made it back...
