As is the Independence Day tradition, Derek left early with the guys to drive the tractors to town for the parade.
The 'women and children' came to town later for breakfast.
We were disappointed it wasn't the omelets it usually is...
But Owen didn't know the difference since he would have been stuck with scrambled eggs anyway.
We headed over to see the guys lined up for the parade and found them shining things up.
While they were distracted, I noticed Cooper sneaking some of the candy.
I pulled him away from the candy and got the boys to sit on the newest tractor. This is the one G'pa Gordie was going after when we had lunch with G'ma & G'pa as they passed through Peoria.
Then we all climbed on the one Derek would be driving in the parade... for a photo.
Owen was pretty impressed with the size of the tires.
I wrangled all the boys together for yet another photo op in our flag tanks.
Then Owen was off and running again, he'd noticed the horses.
So Daddy took him over to say Hi and pet them.
Those big brothers got in on it too.
We left Miles on the fender of Daddy's tractor to ride in the parade...
And headed to Main Street to find our spot to watch!
