Independence Day 2016 - Arrival

We made the same stop en route to Iowa that we did last year.  Owen was two weeks old when we made that trip.  And was wearing a mustache outfit... he was wearing a mustache outfit this year too!  He's a bit bigger now, and a bit more ornery.

We arrived at the farm and the big boys were off and running literally before I got out of the van.

They went to check out G'ma Jan's garden, it looked pretty good! :)

Owen hitched a ride back to the house.

Where we found Cooper in a window well.

Because there were toads down there!
Within ten minutes of arriving, they had four toads.

We spent a little time in the house... the boys cuddled with Aunt Mikiah.

Then before we knew it, they were back outside blowing stuff up.

Even Owen got in on it with poppers.

He's not far from the ground, but threw a couple hard enough that they popped!

Which he liked.  A lot.

G'pa Dale is kind of the ring leader of fireworks.

Owen got to catch a parachute.

And Miles finally got to light this one he'd been looking forward too. #boymom

They lit just enough fireworks to look forward to the following evenings...
