We had a little time at home before we left on another trip.
This post is a little of life in the interim.
We like to start our day with a good breakfast. (Which sometimes means frosted mini-wheats, just sayin') On this morning Miles requested his egg yolk cooked firm because he didn't want it to "Drool on his bacon."!
Somehow I make coming home from trips, and getting ready to leave for one, require way too many trips to Walmart. Owen doesn't mind, as long as I wheel him by the balls while we're there. He saw these and said, "Ba ba ba ba".
So he was very excited when we let him hold one!
He was also excited when we let him have sidewalk chalk.
He's big stuff now.
In between him sneaking bites of chalk, the big boys also helped him play on the swing set.
And then we made yet another trip to Walmart. Owen is impressed by the variety of balls they have. He said, "Ba" so fast over and over that he sounded like he was saying, "Bob". Go ahead, try it... you know you want to. You'll laugh at yourself, like we did at Owen. :)
Then those big brothers thought he needed to hold this ball.
We also made a trip to the library where the craft was puff paint ice cream cones.
Then we hung around and helped with the construction of a milk jug igloo.
Everyone got in on it.
We were only able to stay for the beginning stages.
But had fun starting it.
Later we ran (another) errand and saw this hawk, with it's prey, right beside us!
But eventually made it to our destination... we needed to stock up for our next trip.
Because as soon as Cooper's baseball game, the final of the season, was over...
We were Iowa bound for Independence Day!!
