Easter Sunday

The day before Easter, we watched the last of our Kansas teams in the NCAA tournament.  Unfortunately, Kansas was knocked out and there were no more Kansas teams standing.  That night, Derek's parents also arrived.  They came to help Trey pack his things, since he was moving back to Wichita the next week.

It was a busy weekend and I did a terrible job of taking photos. (yes, me!)  I helped in the pre-school Sunday School class at church and lead the kid's worship music during the second service.  So I left early, (Derek had left even earlier for worship team practice) and went to first service.  Dale and Debbie got all three boys ready for church and brought them for second service.  It was wonderful to be able to sit in the first service!  After church and lunch, we had our Easter Egg hunt.

It was raining outside, so we ended up doing our hunt inside.

There was still a lot of excitement!

And good hiding spots, it took a while to find all the eggs!

Owen still wasn't feeling great and fell asleep on the way home from church.
He took a long afternoon nap.

While Cooper and Miles enjoyed having Uncle Drew around.
...or at least Uncle Drew's phone.  (do I roll my eyes too much?)

Owen finally woke up and we had some eggs, sans candy, waiting for him.

He thought it was great fun.

Especially when his big brothers jumped in and showed him how to put them in the bucket.

Owen spent the rest of the day filling his bucket with eggs then dumping it back out.

Dale & Debbie did go work at Trey's apartment for a while but it was a nice day with them around on and off.

They left super early the next morning, before the boys were awake.
But they had leftover Easter candy to console themselves.

I'd been given an Easter Lily at church too, so we enjoyed that little 'leftover' too.

And a few other leftovers. :)
