Easter Preparations

Our Easter prep, or course, included coloring eggs.

I had grabbed a kit on clearance after Easter last year, it had the dye tablets and stickers with mustaches.

The big boys had a lot of fun with them.
(We did this while Owen napped)

Owen and I snuck away to the store one day and got a few plastic eggs and some candy.  We'd missed the egg hunts we usually do since we were out of town leading up to Easter.  So we planned to do one at home instead.

Also in preparation for Easter, we attended the Good Friday service at church.
It was a great night of remembering and being thankful for the sacrifice Jesus made for us.

After the service we stopped at the Twistee Treat.  We drive by it every time we go to church, but it closes during the winter.  They always open on Good Friday...

Those boys had waited all winter to walk up to the window and order.

Their favorite ice cream cones around... because of the eyes!

Owen got a little taste too!

He liked it.
(I like Cooper's tongue here. :)

We also did our annual Easter photo shoot.  Which didn't go so great since it was pretty chilly and Owen wasn't feeling good.  Him and I had both been hit by spring colds.  Yuck.
