After the parade we went back to G'ma Jan's house for lunch. But when the kids were called in for lunch, Miles didn't come... but when Derek went to find him, he could hear his voice from up in this tree. If you look closely, you can see Miles in there somewhere!
He was pretty proud of how high he'd gotten, but he couldn't seem to work his way back down.
Being barefoot didn't help him much! Daddy helped him maneuver down and inside for lunch.
Where Aunt Brenda was snuggling Owen so I could eat.
Perks of spending time with family!
Next we headed over to the Mleynek Farm where the boys saw some kittens as we pulled in. They were a bit wild, but Derek caught one: Gloves Required!
...and posed for a photo.
Then Grandma showed them where the 'stash' was!
So Derek reached in a got more kittens out.
(There were two litters in there!)
With Daddy's help, they calmed some down enough to hold them.
I had two boys begging to bring kittens home with us! And a Great Grandma encouraging it all! Derek and I have already been there and done that though... :)
Once everyone was washed up, the boys joined G'ma where she was cuddling Owen and we took a photo.
Then headed out to Lake Panorama for the Van Gundy family reunion.
Miles fell asleep on the way.... and even getting him out of the car didn't wake him up.
Ever been so tired you could sleep standing up? Miles has.
