Christmas Cookies

We had our annual Christmas Cookie day before Christmas.

The boys were eager to help...

And even though I offered to make the cookies and call them in when it was time to decorate,

they insisted on being in on it all.

Maybe they remember there are perks to being around for this part!

They are a big help though, I figure soon I'll have them trained well

enough that I'll only have to get involved if I want to.  :)

The cookie cutters are a favorite part.

I took a look when Miles said, "I put a bomb in the gingerbread man!".  He makes me laugh...  he didn't even care that Cooper and I told him they were ornaments.  They're bombs to him!

Finally our cookies were all baked and cooled.  Time to decorate them!

Miles' favorite were the 'bombs' which he frosted black. Ha ha ha ha ha.

Cooper impressed me this year.

He's getting more coordinated and his cookies looked good!

And there may have been a little tasting.

Yep, definitely some tasting.

Cooper hung with me for a long time, but eventually I was alone and lined

them up by 'kind' and do it assembly line style.

Just gotta get them done, it always takes longer than I think.

...maybe I spend too much time, since I do enjoy it.

But the cookies the boys decorate are for sure my favorite of the bunch! 

We got them all done!

Then packaged them all up and delivered them to the neighbors! 

...after we cleaned up our mess.
