The day after our little trip to Chicago, the kid's did a Christmas program at our church. The preschoolers didn't participate, but Cooper was up there singing. He loves this sort of thing.
A video of the singing:
A few days later was the AWANA Christmas Program. Miles was up front for this one, although he's not sure how he feels about performing on stage.
He gets stage fright or something and acts all shy.
Then goofy.
And sings just a little.
I think he was tired that night... you'll see he mostly yawned when he should have been singing.
Cooper's group was up next.
I've already mentioned he loves this sort of thing... he sings out!
Cooper wasn't in view, but sang well.
Maybe Miles is just a behind the scenes guy...
He took some great shots. :)
But when the whole group (except the preschoolers) got up...
He tried hard to take a nap.
After the singing portion we headed to do the "circle of lights".
Everyone gets a cupcake.
And gather in a circle.
After the AWANA commander spoke, he lit and candle and passed the flame around.
No sleeping now...
Holding fire is fun. :)
Then we all sang Happy Birthday to Jesus!
