For months, Miles had been requesting to go mini golfing on his birthday.
So after we went to church for a quick directory photo...
We headed to the golf course.
Cooper informed us that the only difference between golf and mini golf is that you have a colored ball. There is a golf course near our house that we drive by pretty often, so I guess he knows. :)
We had to explain a few rules, like not touching your (colored) ball, to put it in a better spot.
And gave a few instructions on equipment use.
But then they were good to go and had lots of fun.
Derek started out keeping score for all four of us.
But since we had the place to ourselves, we eventually let the boys play on ahead of us.
So we could concentrate on our game. :)
Although Derek soon had to go help fish a ball out of the water.
But overall, they boys were playing well.
And celebrating scores.
But playing in the water was so tempting.
So then they had to call Daddy over to get a ball out of the water, again.
By hole 13, Derek was getting worried I was going to beat him.
But he was soon distracted with fishing another boy's ball out of the water. Yes, again.
The birthday boy got a hole in one on the last hole!!
So after all 18 holes completed, Derek sat down to tally it all up.
Sure enough... I won! By one!! Yay!! :)
We had a great time!
