In between events in town everyone kept busy.
There was Ping Pong at G'ma Jan's...
Tree climbing.
And four wheeling.
The boys got to watch Uncle Tyler fly his drone. ...they thought it was just a remote control plane and kept asking to have a turn! :-/ They didn't get a turn.
We headed back into town in time to catch the bathtub races.
Cooper, armed and ready to throw balloons at the racers.
And posing with the official tub.
Miles missed all of this because he fell asleep.
We joined Uncle Bruce in his usual spot at the garden tractor pull.
And somehow Miles slept through that too!!
Next we walked over and watched the chainsaw carving.
Where I talked all my boys into a family selfie.
Then we got in line for the boys to get a balloon animal. The entire time he waited, Miles told Derek he was going to get a fish. But when he was up, he panicked and said, "Turtle" just like the kids in front of him.
So we had four balloon turtles.
Miles immediately had regret though, so G'pa Dale took him back to actually get a fish.
Funny Story: He soon dropped it on the ground and it popped...all except for the lips!
We gathered at the pedal pull.
We gathered at the pedal pull.
And Zella gave it a try to defend her 1st place title from the year before.
She pedaled so hard! But didn't place this year.
When Cooper's age group came up, he gave it a go.
He also pedaled hard but didn't place... once again. :)
After we all got fed another meal out at the farm, we headed to the fireworks.
We sat right on the ball field and waited for it to get dark.
And then the fireworks began. I love fireworks!
Miles does too, but he also thinks they're loud.
Some are too loud... but oh, so pretty!
A great way to end our Independence Day!
