Another thing that is becoming a Mleynek tradition around Christmas is Derek making oyster stew.
Derek's Mom made broccoli cheddar soup for those (the teenagers) too scared to try oyster stew.
Derek wanted Cooper to try it, so he did.
And asked for a drink... which I thought meant he didn't like it.
But then he asked for some of his own and ate up!
This guy enjoyed it quite a bit himself.
This was also the day that a package arrived from Uncle Brent, Aunt Amy and kiddos. Included in the box were four pair of these fun glasses.
We all took turns trying them on...
Sometimes two at a time.
And looking at the Christmas tree lights.
This is how the lights look without glasses:
But when you put the glasses on, you see this...
Snowflakes around the lights!
Or Santas...
Or reindeer.
Or my favorite, snowmen.
Where have these been all my life?! :) I loved them.
