Rewind...

Going back in time a little to July 18th...
My parents had been at a church conference in Fort Wayne, Indiana for the week and planned to stop and visit us on the way back home.  They were to arrive on Friday, July 19th.  But late afternoon on Thursday, the 18th, they showed up!  Surprise... to all of us! (Stinkers didn't even give me time to clean the bathroom!)

We spent the evening unpacking the goodies they'd brought from Trader Joe's and hanging around the apartment.  Yes, there was a banjo or two involved in the fun.

The next morning, I went to get a few groceries and Mom and Dad took the boys for a late breakfast.  Cooper was still a little on the icky side and had been begging me for french toast.  I had been out of eggs so hadn't made it for him.  Papa and Grandma decided he needed french toast so loaded up the boys and headed to Wild Berries.

..where Cooper decided instead of french toast,
that he wanted the Mickey Mouse pancakes!

Next stop was the Bass Pro Shop.

I think it was Papa's suggestion, but you know these boys didn't argue!

They showed him where to find the bass and blue gill before even heading inside.

They 'drove' boats.

Miles takes after me in the 'safety first' department!
We're of a cautious personality.

Coop and Miles introduced G'ma and Papa to the big catfish, Bonnie Blue.
(And apparently to anyone within earshot)

Papa gave them quarters to do some target practice.

Then Miles ran over to the Nascar game and put some quarters in it before Papa knew what was happening...  oops.

All the excitement meant Papa needed a nap.

So the rest of the group humored him and had rest time.

Grandma is slightly A.D.D though, so candy was soon found.

Who needs rest?  Candy will get them going again! Apparently around this time, Miles recognized Elvis on the radio, shocking everyone around!  A story that made his Daddy proud.  :)

When they left BPS they went to take a closer look at the river.
And spotted a giant turtle!

 ...Meanwhile.
Derek met me for some sushi, one of our favorite things to eat without the boys.

Then we headed to sign the papers and pick up the keys to our house!

Mom and Dad met us at the house soon after.

We headed back to the apartment to do some organizing and packing. It was great to have Mom around, she prepped meals and took care of things (boys) so I could just pack. We kept busy the rest of the day.

Most of us anyway...  I guess Dad didn't get enough of a nap earlier.

The next day after a little cuddle time...

Mom and Dad headed on home while the rest of us were still in our pajamas.
