The Celebration

We celebrated Derek's Birthday with one of his favorites...

Buffalo Wild Wings.

This guy loves some hot wings.

Miles prefers the boneless kind.  They're easier to eat and taste better with ketchup.

Cooper gets his sauce on the side, but wants to 'eat it off the bone'.

We also celebrated with cake.  Yes, the cake that nearly failed.

And the whole time Cooper was jamming candles into it,

I was wondering if it was going to start falling apart.  Ha.

Then I lit them...

And we sang.  You know these guys know the birthday song!

The boys were pretty impressed when Daddy blew

the candles out without even leaning towards the cake!

And then they laughed when his piece of cake looked like creature

with eyes and an open mouth.  Squint a little, you'll see it.  :)

Cooper had hidden Daddy's card earlier, so he went to get it.

And gave it to him with our gift, a Bass Pro Shop gift card.

And a few other cards and a package had arrived in the mail too.

We had a good time celebrating Derek!
