As Cooper's birthday approached, we kept asking him if there was something he would like to go do to celebrate. He finally said, "Can't we just spend it here at home?". Ha, we agreed. He did ask for one thing, he wanted to have his friend, Ethan, come over to play. So we invited Ethan's family over for lunch.
The boys played, played and played. (Mostly with Rescue Bots)
Then it was time for cake.
We lit the candles... once I located a lighter.
There was a time when we thought we'd have to start rubbing sticks together.
And we gathered around...
And sang to Cooper.
He blew out all five candles impressively.
Opened a fun little gift from Ethan.
Then we ate cake, drank coffee (the older crowd anyway) and visited.
