As planned, my sister and husband kept our boys for a couple days while Derek and I hopped on a plane to Kauai for a couple days. This was our official 10th Anniversary celebration and we enjoyed it so much!
We left in the morning and arrived on Kauai in time to eat breakfast/brunch at a cute little cafe Anna recommended. Then we went for a drive through Waimea Canyon. This was our rented ride...Fun. :)
We stopped at all the lookout points to enjoy the view and of course, take pictures.
At one stop we saw these "natives" doing a ritualistic chant and dance.
We later saw them walk down to their Honda Civic and drive away. Ha.
The higher we went the more beautiful the views! And we were above the clouds... amazing!
It was a fun relaxing afternoon enjoying God's beauty.
Did you get car sick on the winding road? Anna said it's just part of the trip up, and the views were totally worth it, but when I look at your picture, I have memories of being nauseated. ;-)
