Independence Day - The Fire(works)

In Kansas City it's illegal to set of any and all kinds of fireworks.
So it's fun to spend Independence Day in the country...
And fun that we drive right through Missouri on our way,
you can buy any and all kinds of fireworks in Missouri!

Cooper picked out this firetruck firework:

And Cooper was right in the middle of the big guys during the fun:
(Didn't we used to have a bunch of little guys running around? Where did all these big guys come from?!)

He also threw poppers on the ground with Zella:

But I can already tell he's a little pyro.

He thought it was great that Daddy was letting him light some.

Miles enjoyed spending time with Grandma:

And the girls not as interested in blowing things up rode the four wheeler.
Cooper spent a lot of time riding it too although I don't have pictures to prove it.
He kept calling it a 'lawn mower' though!

And now Miles is with Grandpa enjoying the show.

"The Show" actually gathered quite a crowd!

And Miles did get in on a little.  Aunt Mal helped him with a sparkler.

He also liked the big firework display in town.
Some of them were loud but he didn't mind.

We had a great Independence Day!
In all the fun we don't want to forget why we celebrate on this day.
We are thankful for those who have sacrificed so much for our freedom.
