After the parade we went back out to Grandma Jan's and ate lunch.
That refueled us enough to head back to town and walk around.
Well... most of us walked. Cooper hitched a ride from Grandpa Dale!
You already know about the omelet breakfast and parade.
Also going on around town were:
Bicycle Poker Run, Coloring Contest, Chainsaw Carving, Pork Loin Sandwich Dinner, Horse Show, Car Show, Inflatable Kid Games, Balloon Artist, Face Painting, Laser Shoot, Tractor Pull, Free Throw Contest/3 point shot contest, Bath Tub Races, Clown show, Bingo, Concession stand, Pie Baking Contest, Kid’s Pedal Pull Contest, Fiddlin Family Concert, Talent Show, Raffle Drawing, Fireworks!
Small towns know how to celebrate! :)
We watched the chainsaw carving for a while, this guy was good!
Then we moved on to the bathtub races. I forgot to get the video from Derek and he left town this morning for work. So this picture will have to do! Basically each team has four people to push the tub (full of water) and a driver. They maneuver around the cones and back to the start. The team with the fastest time, losing the least water wins. Oh, and the high school football team fills and sells 9,000 water balloons during this event... that are all thrown at the teams while they race! It's a great time... just watch out where you stand or you'll get wet.
Cooper visited the balloon artist and got these cool guns.
Thanks to Grandma Debbie for standing in line with him for them!
Then we headed to the kids inflatables where Cooper ran of some more steam.
Sliding.
And Jumping.
We also entered Cooper into the kids pedal pull.
He did pretty good for a first time, but only pulled about two and a half feet.
(The winner pulled 20ft!)
But he did get this gold dollar for participating.
