This is Derek's Mom's side of the family.
The Van Gundy Family:
While we were in Iowa for Independence Day there was a Van Gundy family reunion.
This is Grandpa Gordie (3rd from the left) and all his living siblings.
There were twelve altogether.
And here is Grandpa Gordie & Grandma Jan with their kids, grandkids,
and great grandkids that were at the reunion.
Debbie, Dale and kids and grandkids:
And my little family... a little bit rained on.
We also got this shot of the four youngest. Zella, Laney, Miles & Cooper.
The reunion was at the Lake Panorama beach.
So we had a sand volleyball tournament.
Our team lost and was out the first round.
But we later found out it was because of our side of the court's disadvantage. :)
The kiddos got some Grandma time while parents played volleyball.
And in between games they had their turn.
Cooper did some swimming too.
He had a lot of fun splashing around in the waves.
...while Miles had a little nap.
Then woke up and played with Laney.
We also ate food...
And sat around chatting:
More playing with babies:
And playing on the playground:
I had the camera in my hands most of the day so I
was thankful for everyone who helped out with my boys.
Aunt Amy & Miles:
They always love Uncle time!
We also had a family game of "Minute to Win It"!
There were some fun and clever games:
Some people tried out the games for themselves after the game was over:
And some people found other things to entertain themselves:
It was a great day spent with LOTS of family...
Awesome pictures!!
ReplyDeleteI love that final picture of Zella & Cooper holding hands. So cute!
