My sister, Anna, lives in Chicago and ended up on a project in Wichita this week.
She flew in around midnight so we were all camped out at Mom's house.
The kids didn't know she was coming so they were surprised to wake up to Aunt Anna!
Josiah was sleepy:
But yelled, "Anna!" and jumped up to hug her!
Then he tried to pry Jake's eyelids open... it didn't work!
Jake woke up shortly though and was equally thrilled to see Aunt Anna!
And she brought chocolate... so as soon as breakfast was over it was time for sugar.
We spent the afternoon at the YMCA pool:

We all ate dinner at Mom & Dad's where the kids found a second wind and did more swimming!
Can you tell Grandma likes to laugh at their antics?!?
Then Papa started up the chimenea and we had smores!
Grandma brought a bowl of soapy water out to wash up in!
All Seven Siblings! We aren't all together too often.. it was fun!

We can't see a lot of them either. What we did see made us want to see the rest. The kids look pretty excited about their surprise visitor!

ReplyDeletethe most fun ever!! did anna tell you i had a mini panic attack when i couldn't see the pictures? thank you for taking the time to re-upload everything. greatly, greatly appreciated. the picture of jaedyn and cooper splashing around with their hands in a bowl is SUPER CUTE. what a fun water park you have!! i would go there everyday. and what a cute cute cute series of pictures you took when anna surprised the kids in the morning. jaedyn looks so pleased and excited when jake is hugging anna. so adores. thank you for documenting the surprise even though it was probably really early in the morning - i mean it had to be for you to get up earlier than the kids! the pictures of josiah and jake hugging anna truly warmed the cockles of my heart. so fantastic that you got a sibs pic too. well done. excellent, excellent post!
