Derek and "The Guys" decided not to renew the lease on the property they hunted on last year. So Derek is making plans to hunt on public land this year. He now has a tree saddle...
Instead of hanging tree stands in trees for the entire season, this allows him to climb up and sit on his saddle and get back down, leaving nothing behind.
So, yes, he was practicing in our backyard. :)
And: Owen found a tiny praying mantis. :)
