On day three of four of Cooper's band camp, we got into a car accident on the way home. Though it was minor, it was a tiny bit traumatic since someone pulling out of a parking lot ran into the side of our van, causing us to spin around and come to a stop facing the wrong direction.
When it first happened, I made sure all the boys were alright and evaluated the situation. I seriously thought that was our back bumper on the road beside, until we looked closer and realized it was the other car's front end.
The Broken Arrow police arrived to help us our and to direct traffic until we could move of the road.
You know me, my first reaction is to start taking photos and videos... sorry. I kind of wanted to be able to remember how we were sitting to help put it together later.
We were able to get into a parking lot to finish the police and accident report, but it seemed like forever before I felt like I could get out and evaluate the damage. I was a bit shocked it didn't look worse considering the way the impact felt.
I was able to drive it home, but it crunched us up pretty good!
The impact hit our rear tire and side door, smashing in the floor (where Cooper was sitting!) a bit.
We were able to drive it for a few days before picking up a rental,
but the tire looked a bit angled too...
Stay tuned. 🙈
