Today is Derek's birthday! He doesn't typically get a blog write up, but he's getting one this year. :) It's been a year with a lot of change, most of them were completely out of our control, and some of them really hard. Honestly, we have a lot of conversations about how 'set back' we feel. Great things have happened too, and life is fun. With every up and down, this guy is the rock of this family, he anchors us, he's consistent. So consistent that I'm making his favorite cake recipe for about the 10th year (maybe more?) in a row. haha. I love you, Derek. Happy Birthday!!
