I think I mentioned it before, but Cooper and Miles ended up on teams that practice on Thursday evenings, one after another. So we only have to go once during the week and spend a couple hours at the gym.
So one of the hours, Owen spends with one brother, and the one hour with the other.
Or trying to make friends with other younger siblings.
The gym is right by the Bass Pro Shop, so Derek has been dropping all of us off for practice, then going to a fly (fishing) tying class that goes the exact two hours of practices. It's worked out really well. Derek's parents got him a fly tying vice and some equipment for Christmas, so this hobby has been fun at home too. Owen asks to "Tie Fly Rods" almost nightly.
The big boys like to design flies and discuss what kind of fish, and how big, obviously, will bite them.
We've gotten good at packing things for Owen to play with during practices. He is banned from bringing anything with wheels though, or it ends up out on the court.
He really, really wants to going the gymnastics class that goes on during that time slot too. If we could coordinate that, it would be a 3 for 1 instead of just a 2 for! :)
I like to pay attention to practices and try and discuss and work with the boys on things the coaches emphasize.
After a few practices, it was time to hand out jerseys! Cooper and Miles got the same number totally on accident. Go, number 6!!!
