The Light Shines in the Darkness

We went for a drive around town one night to check out Christmas lights.  It started out with seeing a few houses here and there that were pretty decked out.

We stopped at QuikTrip for coffee and hot chocolates to sip on...   and I noticed as we were driving that there were some really bright lights a couple blocks away.

Maybe it was a half mile away...    I stole this photo from their website.   Turns out it's a local church that does this every year.  It's free to drive though, and even walk through part of it.  They also do carriage rides for a fee.

It was incredible!  With an outrageous amount of lights!!

Owen is obsessed with Christmas lights and this did not disappoint.

We walked the paths (sipping hot drinks) and checked out all the different displays.

The fountain was pretty.

Since it reflected all the lights.

Owen's favorite was the tunnel of lights.

...which was choreographed to music!

There was a huge area all dancing to the music too.   This was my favorite!

And Owen has been asking to go back since we left. :)

Then we headed back home to our house.  The lights we had on our house in Peoria didn't go far on this house, so we added a few... and plan to keep adding over the years.   We like lights. :)

Pretty happy to have accidentally discovered such a cool light display!
(Especially since we were disappointed to not live near the East Peoria Festival of Lights anymore.)
