Owen fell asleep on the way home from the pumpkin patch.
(Somehow I forgot this post right after that one.)
But we'd noticed a Trunk-or-Treat happening at a church around the corner, a church Owen calls, "The Jesus Castle", and decided to go put costumes on and go over.
Owen was not thrilled to wake up and put on his costume.
We found costumes for the neighbor boys and snapped a photo (of course) before we left.
Brodey was a good sport, we had to talk him into being a pirate, but he totally owned it after that! He only slightly panicked when Derek teased him that he drew that facial hair with a sharpie.
Walking from the car to the line of candy, Miles got distracted by a grasshopper.
We laughed pretty hard when we saw this photo, because Miles looks just like Coyote Peterson! :)
We had to wait in line for a while...
But then started collecting candy.
Some trunks had games to play to win the candy too.
And most were dressed in costume handing out candy. Koda posed with the other dinosaurs.
Owen caught onto the process quickly!
But he kept trying to only pick the green candy...
because that is his very favorite color.
He did collect a lot of green candy!
They also served free hot dogs.
And snow cones.
It took a while, but he ate the whole thing.
A good way to end a busy day.
