Miles got a Bass Pro Shop gift card from Uncle Bruce & Aunt Brenda for his birthday. We strategically (ha) visited a church near BPS and stopped there afterward.
The two without gift cards entertained themselves.
While Miles shopped for a new fishing pole.
He's been needing a new pole, so this was a great way to spend his gift card.
(And thankfully, we managed to get out without another stuffed animal!! ha.)
Owen took a look at quite a few poles himself. But he doesn't need one right now. :)
Satisfied with his choice, Miles headed to checkout.
Cooper remembered he had a little money on a gift card too, so he bought some lures and a moon pie.
Ready to go!
We went home for lunch and Derek stalled a little so that the fishing would be better. But they were soon headed to a neighborhood pond, Miles new rod in hand. Miles' first fish was the biggest he's caught and the biggest bass we've pulled out of that pond!!
He was so thrilled!
Cooper, of course, caught a few too.
More the typical size for our neighborhood ponds! ha.
No matter.... these guys just love fishing.
