So Long, Summer - Back to School Night

So long summer days...  and nights.  Time to stop relaxing and have a routine again.  With actual bedtimes.

And some structure.
(These guys discovered they could all log in and play a group game of Minecraft. Thankfully, this discovery didn't happen until a few days before school started.  Before that, they spent most of their summer days riding bikes and catching bugs. ha)

BUT: Back to School Night was upon us.  We took school supplies and went to see the boys' school.

Where Miles found a bug immediately after that photo.

They also peeked at the playground.

Then we headed to Miles' classroom to meet his teacher and set up his desk.

Officially ready for 3rd grade!

Next, we went to Cooper's homeroom, met his teacher and unloaded supplies.

Officially ready for 5th grade!

A small blessing for this Mama:  Had we stayed in Illinois, Cooper would have moved to the middle school for 5th grade.  In Oklahoma, he won't move up until 6th.  So, in a new town and at a new school, I'm so thankful they get to have this year together at the same school.  💙
