After Owen went to bed the night before his birthday, we blew up balloons for him to wake up to.
He was the last one awake, and it was all Miles could do to let him sleep.
He finally woke up and was thrilled, as anticipated, with the balloons.
Derek hadn't even left for work yet, when the Lowe's guys showed up to deliver our refrigerator.
They had to take the front door off the hinges to get it inside.
But that was fine with me! Two weeks of using the garage fridge only is a very 'first world problem', but I was so excited to be done with that phase! :)
Thankfully, the fridge fit perfectly into the funny little built-in spot it's intended for in our kitchen. Whew. We also told Owen this was his birthday gift! haha. He's not actually upset about it, it's a great gift, right? It was just too early for photos... next to the new refrigerator.
He cheered up and was willing to have his face photographed while helping make his own birthday cake.
And was all smiles when we lit the candles later.
But hid his face, once again, while we sang the birthday song.
He revealed his face and blew the candles out though!
And enjoyed eating his cake.
He did his first birthday gift scavenger hunt,
we'll see if the video ever appears. :)
But, along with fun gifts from family, he got a balance bike from G'ma Debbie!
And Miles was determined to get this shirt for him!
He loved it because he often uses the word "hashtag" in his vocabulary.
"Hashtag, goodbirthdaygift". :)
