Father's Day started out with some snuggles on the couch.
Then the boys gave Derek the card they'd picked out for him!
We went to a new church.... we go to a new one every week right now! Then went out for lunch.
On our way to the zoo! We needed to check it out with the membership our Life Group gifted us.
We saw the chimpanzees first, and they ended up being of favorite exhibit. We 'met' Enloe, the four year old baby, and he was hilarious! He swung right into the glass at Owen and ran around annoying all the adult chimps. We loved him!
We eventually took our own little monkeys and moved on. :)
Cooper took it on as his job to navigate us using the map.
We explored the whole zoo that day, so I won't post a photo of every animal, although you totally know I took them. ha. We saw an arctic fox.
And if you peek through these holes...
There was a snow owl.
Can you spot the chinchilla?
We spent far too long checking out all the snakes.
And just in case you're wondering... There was a list of venomous snakes found in Oklahoma! Out of 44 species, only 7 can kill you.
We also took special note of this guy...
Since Miles thinks he need a pet pink toed tarantula.
We teased Derek here, since the whitetail deer was just as elusive at the zoo as they seem to be in the wild during hunting season. We never did spot it/them!
The boys groomed goats.
And chased an albino peacock.
We watched the otters play for a while. They're entertaining...
and their water looked really inviting! ha.
I tried to take a photo of the boys by this statue, and Owen just tried to pick its nose.
We got some up close looks at a few fun animals.
We missed the sea lion show, but went to take a look later.
Then realized the best viewing area was down below.
It was on that path the boys saw a lizard and chased it around. Thankfully, their capture attempts came up empty.
We saw huge tortoises.
Then the tigers.
We stopped in to see what Enloe, the chimp, was up to one last time, then made our exit.
Happy Father's Day to my favorite person!
