New Neighborhood Pond

We finally (according to the boys) made it over to one of our neighborhood ponds to fish!  None of the ponds are really close enough to walk to, so it takes a little effort, like packing the poles in the van and driving over.  Cooper and Miles jumped out and had lines in the water as soon as Derek cut the engine! ha.

Everyone else was quick to follow.

After a tiny bit of frustration because of catching mostly moss...

Owen snagged the very first fish!!

Cooper did quite a bit of assisting, of course.

Cooper soon caught his own.

And Miles had one quickly too!

And after about 42 bait changes...

Derek got a chance to throw a line out and get one.

Cooper typically wins the night for most fish, this was no exception.

Mostly because Miles spends more time jigging for tiny minnows and catching turtles with his bare hands.

We met a family of ducks that night.

And have decided it's super fun to have access to a neighborhood pond!

...we had to drag these guys back to the van once it was nearly dark.

And home for baths and bed!
