Wedding Weekend - Beach and Bye

We had a few hours left of our time in Indiana, so between packing up and cleaning, some of the cousins hit the beach again.

Jonathan & Mandy walked them down to play.  And others joined as they finished tasks.

Owen and I were some of the last, be we grabbed the wagon out of the garage and walked out.

We knew where everyone was when we saw their shoes.

Owen wanted to leave his shoes too.

So we ditched them and dug our toes into the sand.

And and over the dunes and there was the rest of the family.

Playing in the cold water!

Mandy walked Owen down to check it out.

And Alexa walked up behind them right as a wave just big enough to soak her came up!

Most everyone stayed in the sand to play.

Taking turns burying each other.

Uncle Jared even joined in... accidentally flipping sand right into Cooper's mouth.

Then he tried to help him out. ha.

Miles found me this rock with a little heart at the bottom and brought it to me and said, "Happy Mother's Day".  💙😍💙

It wasn't a super warm day, but almost all the kids were soaked by the time we were done.

Owen would have stayed to throw rocks into the water all day.

So when we finally decided it was time to go...

He wasn't very happy about it.

He cried all the way back to the house.  Where he immediately took a nap.

So while littles napped and mommies did some laundry, the "middles" did some fishing.

But soon we'd said our goodbyes and headed back to Illinois.  A bit worn out.

But we were in our own beds for the last time in our Peoria house.

Because next up: Moving Day!
