The boys' school hosted the first ever Mother Son Neon Night Dance. Ummm... you'd think this event was created with my boys mind! We put on our neon and headed to the school. (Owen went to Life Group with Daddy since it was a Friday night.)
There was food.
Including neon cupcakes!
And glow in the dark face paint.
And... of course... DANCING!
My guys paused briefly to click on their LED shoes, then wasted no time hitting the dance floor.
They both took a break for a slice of pizza.
But were right back in there in no time.
They played a couple songs with moves that kids and teens from 90's would know to get the Moms out there, and it worked.
There was also glow in the dark bowling.
We had these glow stick glasses leftover from halloween.
They were a lot of fun, Cooper and one of his friends ended up wearing them most of the time.
They danced until they were dripping sweat.
A gymnasium full of boys age 6 to 10 all dancing goofily and sweating up a storm...
it was pretty humorous to watch.
This was a great event, and we totally enjoyed our evening!
(Miles face paint ended up on his shirt!)
We also saw Cooper's photo on the way out. My boys have both had their turn winning a character award at school this year. This makes me so, so proud!
