Derek somehow got himself out of bed very early the morning after our quick road trip... and made it to the woods in time to find a couple turkeys. In Illinois it's a lottery system for turkey tags, and you take what you get and you don't have many days to hunt. We were all pretty thrilled when he showed up with TWO birds right as it was time to take the boys to school!
I left the house a little later with Owen because we really needed some groceries. As we pulled around the corner toward Aldi, I remembered it was Friday, it was 10:27am and story time is at 10:30. Honestly, I didn't even think about what day it was before that.. haha. But since the library is right by Aldi, we delayed our hunt for food and went to the library first.
Then we stayed for craft time, of course.
Owen made a little bird feeder.
We did finally make it to Aldi to get some provisions!
Owen found a little broom and wanted to sweep the whole store too.
