Good Friday

We attended our church's Good Friday service, a solemn time of reflection on what Jesus sacrificed for us.  It's always a meaningful service in preparation for the celebration on Easter!

Not to take away from that, but Good Friday has also become the day for our annual visit to the Twistee Treat, since that's the day they open.  It's close to church, so the boys see it on every drive to and from church.

The boys got their usual...   ice cream cones with candy eyes on them!

Not only did Owen not want his photo taken, but he didn't want his ice cream at first either.

I'm still not sure if he didn't like the eyes on it, or if he heard Derek ask them to make his cone a little smaller!

Oh well, these guys enjoyed it!

It's been a fun stop/tradition we'll miss in Peoria.
