A Day in B.A.

Derek's parents stayed at the hotel in B.A. one night.  (The locals don't always say "Broken Arrow", they often use the abbreviation, "B.A.", so I'm just starting early. haha)  We met up with them at breakfast...  though we were pretty slow moving and they were done eating by the time we got down there.

Slow moving because I had some boys that really didn't feel good.  Cooper's tonsils were extremely swollen with white spots on them.  And Miles, since he doesn't have tonsils, had huge swollen glands on the sides of his neck.  We decided since they really needed to go back to school on Monday, that we'd hit the local urgent care and make sure they felt better quickly.

Miles perked up a bit when on Tylenol/Ibuprofen, but I didn't give him any before we went in and he was pretty pathetic. He slept a little during the two hours we spent in the office.  Both boys tested negative for strep, but were prescribed an antibiotic to rid them of the infections.

We picked up prescriptions and got them down the boys along with a little lunch.  Then we all drove to the house we'd just put a contract on!  Our realtor couldn't meet us that day to let us inside...

So we just peeked in the windows and snooped around.
(Thankfully it's vacant. ha)

We couldn't get into the backyard, and technically I suppose we were trespassing, but the boys were curious to see.

We only stayed a few minutes, we didn't want to alarm the neighbors. ha.

While we were in the neighborhood...    we wanted to show the boys the fishing pond!

There are three of them in our new neighborhood which means I have three very excited boys! :)  (Sicky or not!)

We even spotted a few turtles.

And what we think might have been a snake. 😱

The boys want to make sure that their fishing poles are in an accessible spot during the move so that they don't waste any time getting to the pond!

  1. I'm so excited for you all!! What a beautiful home! I am partial to dormers and have a couple myself. Love the big windows and shutters too! The ponds are so pretty too! I have a feeling you will all love your new neighborhood!
