The week after Thanksgiving, we headed to our local Bass Pro Shop on a week night to see if we could see Santa without too long of a line.
There were quite a few people there already, but we got a Bass Pass to get in line in the slot 30 minutes after we arrived. So we played in Santa's Wonderland while we waited our turn.
We'd been hyping Owen up to talk to Santa, so we let him take a sneak peek at the big guy. He seemed rather unimpressed, not upset, just didn't really seem to care. Ha.
We had time to do the craft while we waited too.
(Update: Owen can say "craft" correctly now. Sadly. ha!)
There was a table with blocks to play with.
And a table of lincoln logs. Owen spent quite a while sorting them! He took all the blocks from the lincoln log table back to the block table and vice versa. 😂
Soon, it was our turn to see Santa next!
The boys headed toward him when it was our turn.
Owen was soon lifted onto Santa's lap.
Miles grabbed a seat on his other knee and they all smiled for the photo.
When Owen wasn't giving Santa the side eye. Haha! He did it several times!
They all took turns telling Santa what they wanted for Christmas.
Owen has said for over a month that he wants a "Dinoco Cruz", from the Cars 3 movie, and that's what he told Mr Claus that night.
Then Santa handed out the candy canes.
And everyone climbed down from his lap.
With a thank you, we made our exit.
Success!
We couldn't leave without checking out the big fish tank.
And the toys. Miles (and Coop) had a gift card burnin' a hole in his pocket. He had trouble deciding which animal to buy. He ended up with the one in his left hand... :)
Owen found plenty of choices... but he didn't have a gift card.
The boys each paid for their own round at the shooting range.
Then spent their gift cards an we were outta there.
We were headed to Buffalo Wild Wings because they had earned three free kid's meal incentives between them! Whoop.
They were out a little past their normal bedtime that night, but it was worth it.
Merry Christmas, kiddos!
