Kellar Costume Parade

On Halloween, the boys' school held a costume parade and invited all the parents/families.  It was chilly that day, but Derek met us at the school and we waited on the designated blacktop area for the costumed kids to file out of the school doors.

Cooper's class came by first and he walked right past us.

Owen thought that was fun...  but said more about the money costume behind Coop that about Cooper. ha.

You can see his friend, Will, 'riding a gorilla' in the video.

Miles class came out soon, but went in the opposite direction.

He waved when he spotted us though.

They walked out an in two directions in a big loop... high fiving each other as they passed.

The whole thing led by the school Principal, Mr Turner.
(All the teachers were in costume too)

We stepped out toward the middle and high fived Miles as he went by the second time.

Next we were all invited inside to participate in the class parties.
Miles shared his cool-aid with Owen.

Then we watched him play some games.  This one, where you rub a balloon on your head.

Then use the static to make the ghost dance.

The next activity couldn't have been more suited to Miles!

Everyone got a little green 'thing' and some liquid...

Then they got to watch the reaction when they squirted the liquid...  to find a little something inside.

After I spilled Miles' classmate's cool-aid with my elbow while taking that video...  we headed up to Cooper's classroom to see what they were up to.   We found this...

His costumes wasn't suited to wear while playing games, or having your brother sit on your lap to share a snack.

One game was throwing candy corn into a bucket.

They played a couple others before the party was done.   We always enjoy joining them at school for events and mingling with their classmates and teachers.
