Just for fun, we met up with some of our church Life Group friends at Splashdown water park.
They did "Family Nights" every Friday in July, so they had a discounted rate for the evening. And a lot of people had the same idea we did... we were surprised by the line to get in!
But once they opened the doors, it moved pretty quick and before we knew it we were hitting the pool! Our friend, Emily, trailed Owen for a good part of the night. He has lots of fun Life Group friends. :)
Owen seriously enjoyed the baby pool area!
But once Derek took him on the lazy river, he knew what he'd been missing! He.loved.it.
Cooper jumped into the hula hoop competition!
Then played with friends in the 'treehouse' area.
Miles found he was also fond of the lazy river, though he didn't use it very lazily... he liked to be in an individual tube so he could lap everyone else once or twice!
Owen climbed around the treehouse a little and actually came down this green slide.
Then did the lazy river for a couple more laps.
Derek literally had to drag him out of it. :)
It was pretty packed that night...
But we enjoyed the water and spending time with friends.
Owen enjoyed it so much that after I snuggled him in his towel, he got up and ran back into the water as we tried to leave! Derek ran in, flip flops and all, to retrieve him. 😂
It was a great summer evening event!
