During our afternoon break time, Miles worked on a loose tooth that we'd been telling him really needed to come out. It didn't.
While Owen napped and Derek caught up on some work emails, I took the big boys to the pool again.
Poor Owen missed the swim time again. Good thing he loves his naps!
Turns out Derek caught a short nap after some work too! But there was more fishing to do, so we headed back to the river.
Owen got his line in the water pretty quick.
He can't cast or reel very well yet, but he plays copy cat really well!
He kinda sorta looks like he knows what he's doing.
But there were quite a few reasons he never caught a trout...
At least his line was in the water?? :)
When it wasn't in the water, it was probably because someone was untangling it for him.
Speaking of untangling... That's Derek working my line out of a tree. Oops.
Derek probably deserves a solo fishing trip soon, since he spent all of this one changing bait and untangling lines!
Owen decided it was snack time so sat with his pretzels and watched for a while.
Then he went into town with me to get charcoal so we could grill our (okay, the big guys') catch for dinner!
